Devils have had there chances of getting back in the playoff picture but they seemed doomed at the moment. I have to say they played good enough for the point but, they just cant score consistently. Feel bad for cory, he has rebounded just when the offense has disappeared. If only the devils can get pieces that can help them now and in the future like trading for shattenkirk and signing him. Devils should not wait till the deadline, take advantage of the 4 2nd round and 4 3rd picks and start moving them for guys who can help now and in the future

No one in Edmonton thinks Hall CAN'T play on the defensive side of the puck. He just never chose to do so. And killed plays giving away so many pucks trying to fancy move around 3 guys without looking for the pass or waiting for a bit of help so there was a pass available. We all knew he would show up for a game against the Oil anyway especially since it was McD involved. Really glad you are enjoying having Hall, fun to watch when playing right. Thanks for Larsson!!

The good thing is that we're 26th in the league currently, with being 28th right around the corner. So perhaps we have a shot at the #1 overall.

I realize the talent isn't the greatest but at what point to we start thinking about a coaching change? These guys are fundamentally bad and that to me falls on the coaching.

Seems like a re-birth of what I call "the Kovy" factor with Hall. Meaning, we finally have a true superstar sniper and the rest of the team doesn't seem to work as hard and they seemingly watch Taylor when he has the puck, instead of playing as a team and each guy pulling his own weight. Too many passengers night after night.

I thought Merrill had a strong game overall. He had the one obvious misplay in the defensive zone, but Hynes threw him right back out and he was starting the rush on the next play. Overall Merrill seems to be playing better and this gives me a little hope that he'll be a decent defender at some point. He's going to be 25 next month so you'd expect him to make a jump this year or next if he's going to.
